Character Crab Design

After getting inspired by finishing God of War( I know I'm late with the gaming, blame Art Center) I wanted to create a mythic creature. Using crabs and spiders for reference I wanted to combine crab with a slasher type monster. I wanted the silhouette to be a angular menacing shape from the instant I saw it. Enjoy

I did these while in Fabians Entertainment Design class. One design idea I like is the merging of of mech with insect. I think some of the best design ideas are the merging of nature with tech.
